Memorial for Leo F Donahue
Funeral and burial of Leo F Donahue
On a beautiful Thursday morning, 6 June 2026, we gathered at the Community Center Chapel for a 10 AM Mass celebrating the life of our classmate, Leo F. Donahue. A memorial service at graveside followed.
Leo passed away on 22 November 2025 in Gold River, California, a few miles east of Sacramento.
After he retired from the Air Force, Leo spent time in Hawaii, where he enjoyed sailing and running marathons. "Leo returned to school in California to study law and went on to build a successful law practice in Sacramento. He worked hard, believed deeply in fairness and justice, and took pride in helping others."
Leo's five children attended the services. They are Christine Donahue Austin, Sean Donahue, Jonathan Donahue, Ian Donahue, and Brendan Donahue. Also in attendance were Leo's brother, Paul Donahue, and grandson Theodore Leo Donahue (and probably others of his family not seated in the front row at the cemetery). His five children seem to have benefited from Leo being their father.
