USAFA Class Heritage Class of 1963

At 1230 hours on 15 July 2026, we gathered at the Community Center Chapel for a Memorial Mass for John "Denny" Scott. The Mass was followed by a graveside service at the USAFA Cemetery. The weather was sunny and hot in the middle of a very hot July over much of Colorado. This was not one of our usual start times — I believe 1230 was chosen to allow some of Denny's friends in the Trinidad area to make a day trip to Colorado Springs to honor Denny. After Denny's graduation and completion of pilot training, his career included overseas assignments in Europe, Southwest Asia, Korea, and the Philippines before retiring in 1991. After 7 years in Denver, Denny and Nancy settled in Trinidad, Colorado. They were active in many community activities as well as traveling to a number of destinations throughout the world.
