US Air Force Academy class of 1963 14th Sq

Pilot training class 65B Craig AFB, Selma, Alabama  T-37 and T-33.

Nov 1964 - Assigned to 313 Troop Carrier Wing 48th TCS at Forbes AFB, Topeka, Kansas C-130B

2 short TDYs to San Isidro, Dominican Republic in support of Army Ops there.

Jan 1966 - Transferred to 29th TAS which then moved to the 463 TAW Clark AB, Philippines.

At Clark we had 15 days per month TDY to Tan Son Nhut AB, Saigon flying C-130B missions in South Vietnam and Thailand.

Feb 1968 opted to transfer to MAC C-130s hoping to get to see some other parts of the world, but it was not to be. Went to McGuire AFB, 45th MAS  flying C-130E stage to Vietnam. Shortly after arriving there we were informed that all the MAC C-130s were going to TAC.

Aug 1968 found me back in TAC - 348th TAS at Dyess AFB, Abilene, Texas with 90-day rotations to Tachi/CCK with 3-24 day excursions to Cam Ranh Bay - flying C-130E missions in South Vietnam and Thailand with 2 months between in the states.

I really enjoyed flying the C-130 having flown 1358 combat sorties and 1131 combat hours.

Resigned from USAF in June 1969 rank of Captain.

Joined American Airlines in September of 1969 as a pilot/flight engineer.

Served as flight engineer, co-pilot and captain on the B727 at Dallas, Texas.

1980-1990 - Owned and operated Micro Mart - sold, built, repaired, and programmed personal computers.

Both married with 2 girls and a boy each
