Cy€™s eight years of service include serving as an intelligence officer at USAF Headquarters Europe in Wiesbaden Germany and 7th AF Headquarters in Saigon (Tan Son Nhut AFB), Republic of Vietnam
After his separation from the Air Force in 1981, he worked as an
analyst for the California Department of Finance before entering law school at
the Catholic University School of Law in Washington
D.C.
He transferred to the UC Davis School of Law for his third year. His degree is from Catholic
University (1980).
After receiving his law degree, he embarked upon a career primarily in the public sector as a Sacramento County Public Defender, Deputy Attorney General in the California Attorney General's Office and in various positions in California state government.. He retired in 2008 as Chief Counsel for the California Gambling Control Commission and currently works part-time for the California Secretary of State.
Cy and his wife Linda have two children, Patrick (25) and Stephanie (27). Cy has an older son, Tim (47) from his first marriage. Patrick lives in Sacramento, Stephanie lives in London, and Tim, his wife Natalie and their twins, Miles and Lena (5) live in Austin, Texas.
