Biography as of Jul 04, 2012
Graduated USAFA June 63.  Pilot training July 63-Aug 64 at Moody AFB, GA in the T-37 and T-33.  Survival training at Stead AFB, NV Sept. 64.  Reported to Dover AFB, DE Oct. 64 and completed training on C-133 Jan. 1965.  Flew 3 1/2 years for the 39th MAC SQ., achieving the rank of Captain and Aircraft Commander.  Most missions were to Viet Nam and I accumulated about 1500 hours of flying time.
I resigned from the AF in June of 1968 and started work with Delta Air Lines in Sep.  I flew for Delta for 29 years, flying most of the aircraft in the Delta fleet.  Most of my last years with Delta, were spent as a Captain flying the L-1011.
After retirement, I worked as a volunteer for the Georgia State Golf Association rating golf courses in North Georgia.  I also became heavily involved with the Atlanta Classic Foundation which was responsible for presenting the PGA Tour golf tournament in Atlanta.  I became the Tournament Chairman for the 2001-2003 tournaments which gave millions of dollars to Atlanta based charities.
As of 2008, most of my efforts are geared to trying to shoot my age on the golf course.  So far-so good.
